SUGARFREE is the band behind the hits Hari ng Sablay, Makita Kang Muli (theme song of the ABS-CBN telenovela “Panday”), Kwarto, Tulog Na, Dear Kuya, and a lot more. The power trio is composed of Ebe Dancel on lead vocals and guitar, Jal Taguibao on bass and back-up vocals, and newcomer Kaka Quisumbing on drums. They take pride in the robustness of their sound despite being a mere three-man band.

It is quite ironic, therefore, that they chose to work with a 35-piece ensemble for their first major concert held last September 29, 2007 at the Music Museum. SUGARFREE celebrated their 8th year anniversary with grandeur by sharing the stage with no less than the Manila Symphony Orchestra in this ambitious endeavor. A live album entitled “Sugarfree Live! with the Manila Symphony Orchestra” was released the following year.
