Is Swimming A Good Exercise?
A lot of people say that swimming is a good form of exercise. I hope this could help you make the most out of your dips in the pool.

It’s the ideal muscle toner, without the stress.
Swimming builds endurance, muscle strength, and cardio-vascular fitness. While running and other forms of land exercise are healthy, continuous weight on your knees and ankles can cause injury. Your weightlessness in water takes some of the impact of stress.
It’s perfect for warming up and cooling down.
Swimming with increasing effort gradually increases your heart rate and stimulates your muscle activity, readying you for a land based workout. Afterwards, swimming a few laps can help you cool down, move blood through your muscles to help them recover, and help you relax as you glide steadily through the water.
It’s good for the body – and mind.
While it may not be ideal for weight-loss – you don’t heat up as much as you do on land and your body does not have to work to cool you down as much once the exercise session concludes – it still is a good exercise for your whole body. It works out your heart, lungs and muscles with every little joint strain. Plus, if you let your mind wander and focus on nothing but the rhythm of your stroke, you’ll find the motions in swimming de-stressing.
