Laid-back Legaspi City in Albay
Looking for a novel vacay? Head over to a nook in the country where you can partake of earthy delights. Visit Legaspi City Albay.

When we think of heading south for a vacation of fun in the sun, most of us think of little islands a plane and boat ride away. But for those of you who are white-sand weary will love this Bicol detour, packed with just as much chances for some major relaxation.
What to see in Legaspi City Albay Bicol
Just in case you may have skipped the particular geography class on it, Legaspi City in Albay is the location of the world wonder, Mayon Volcano. Known for its near-perfect cone, it is an awesome sight to see. It actually buried a town during its February 1, 1814 eruption. Head on over to the Cagsawa Ruins to get an idea of how devastating it was. The lava flow was so strong that all that is left of the church is its bellfry.
Very near the ruins is the Albay Wildlife Park, a quaint little zoo that has become one of the rescue center for endangered species. It houses 347 animals, and has a picnic grove – perfect for nature tripping.
There is a whole volcanic system running under the Mayon Volcano and the surrounding towns. In the town of Manito, one can find a boiling lake. During lowtide, you will be able to observe geysers along the seashore. These natural wonders serve as the lake’s outlet. When you visit the lake, it’s best to wear thick-soled shoes as the surrounding sand and rock is hot, hot, hot!
Wheel down Sabluyon Route on a mountain bike. You’ll get to see the volcano’s base in an 80km ride on smooth road. Pedal a little harder and you’ll make it to the Mayon Rest House, where you can score amazing views and an overnight rendezvous.
