What are the ingredients needed to prepare the Milkmaid Yuletide Log?
1 condensed milk
1 1/2 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
3 tbsps heavy whipping cream
1 tbsps vanilla extract
3 cups Powdered sugar
1 cup cocoa
1 17″ x 12″ x 1/2″ Chocolate sponge cake
How to prepare the Milkmaid Yuletide Log?
1. Place the unopened can of condensed milk inside a thick-bottomed saucepan. Fill to submerge the pan in water.
2. Boil and simmer the can for about 4 hours. Keep the can submerged in water during the whole boiling session.
3. Set the pan aside to cool. Do not open while hot. Meanwhile, beat the butter with the whisk on medium high speed until fluffy for 2 minutes.
4. Add the cream, vanilla, powdered sugar, and cocoa then mix.
5. Add the cooled cooked Milkmaid condensed milk then mix.
6. Fill, roll, and frost the cake
