You’ll be bowled over by this little cookie’s exceptional, one-of-a-kind burst of flavor.

Chocolate Cookies with Cayenne and Malt Balls
Preheat oven to 350F. In a bowl, whisk together 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon cayenne powder. In another bowl, cream together 3/4 cup butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in 1/2 cup milk and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract; gradually blend into the flour mixture. Do not overmix. Stir in 1 1/2 cups roughly chopped malted milk balls. Drop mixture into 1-inch balls onto a lined baking sheet and press each malt ball on the center. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes, until edges brown. Cool for 2 to 3 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Makes about 45.
