Baguio City Budget for Travel and Accomodations
Baguio is just a 2-hour drive from Pangasinan, where I stay over at vacations and long weekends. I’ve been to Baguio several times but I will never be tired of going there because I love the cold weather, the beautiful trees and flowers, the scenery and the ukay-ukay shopping spree.
Baguio
Who isn’t in love with Baguio? Baguio remains to be a barkada favorite. Cosmo maps out a Baguio getaway that won’t hurt your pocket. A little less than P5,000 is all you need to experience the best of this cold, romantic city.

Tipid Transportation
A tried-and-tested, inexpensive way to get to Baguio would be to take the public buses that depart every hour from the metro. The Dagupan Bus Lines [New York Street, Cubao, Quezon City; [(02)727-2330 or 929-6123] is an excellent option, because of the cheaper fare – P710 for a roundtrip ticket.

Sulit Stay
Get yourself booked at the Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza [tel. no. (074)443-2011]. Accomodations for a group of four costs P3,988, or P999 per person, for two nights. Cosmo extra: Ask the locals for transient houses they know. While they don’t offer the usual amenities, they are, by far, your cheapest option. (With rates that start at P300 per night, you can never go wrong).
