Boracay Budget for Travel and Accomodation

Want to go to Bora but running low on cash? Here, tips on how you can make the most of your fave beach destination without feeling like a purita.

Tipid Transportation
Opt for a budget airline. Fly Cebu Pacific [tel. no. (02)703-0888; www. cebupacific.com] which costs around P4,000. From Kalibo, take the van (P250) to Caticlan and from Caticlan, hop on the ferry that will take you to Boracay, P150.

Sulit Stay
Cosmo suggests you stay in a hotel that’s a stone’s throw away from everything hip in the island. Your choice: The Tides Hotel [D'Mall Station 2, Balabag, Sitio Manggayad; (02)725-3411]. Avail of the room for only P6,058… that’s P1,514 per person per night.

Fun Food-Trippin’
For the cheapest places to eat, head to D’Talipapa, Station 3. The restaurants here serve scrumptious dishes for as low as P60.

Tours and Treats
There are so many beach activities worth the gang’s money. Island hopping is a must, and the trip only costs about P1,500 per banca. Haggle, and the fee can even go lower.
