Cheesy Bacon and Egg Slice Recipe


For variation, you can add sliced mushrooms when cooking the bacon, or green onions or corn with the bell pepper, if desired.

Cheesy Bacon and Egg Slice Ingredients:
350 grams thickly sliced bread, crusts removed
250 grams bacon strips, chopped
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
1 red bell pepper, chopped finely
6 eggs
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
chopped fresh parsley, for garnish, optional

Cheesy Bacon and Egg Slice Cooking Procedures:
1. Preheat the oven to 350F. Cut bread into cubes. Place in an ovenproof dish (9-inch round pan or 8-inch square pan).
2. Add bacon to a nonstick frying pan; cook, stirring until browned; drain on paper towel. Sprinkle cheese, bacon, and red bell pepper over bread in dish.
3. Whisk eggs in a large bowl with a fork until combined; add milk and Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper, whisk until combined. Pour over bread mixture in dish.
4. Bake for about 35 minutes or until set. Sprinkle with parsley and serve with a baby spinach and pear salad, if desired.
